Just been stitchin'......

Just a few more stitches left on the Wedding Sampler....if you look real close you might notice that the bride is headless.... I need to add her head and some french knots and it will be complete. I'll make a trip to Stitchville next week to get a frame.

Here's the new project I started yesterday, it's call Fraktur Bird II. I just love the bright colors. The plan for this one is to bring it for Show & Tell at our Guild's Annual retreat in August.......

Design size is about 6" x 6"

I don't like how the initials and the year are placed on the chart.
I'm going to stitch my initials (LJK) on one side and the year on the other side.
Also I'll use a bright color rather than black.

A surprise gift from a sweet friend....

Every August The Needlework Guild of Minnesota has an annual retreat in beautiful Buffalo, MN. This year's theme is "Peacocks and other fine feathered friends". Yesterday a little package came in the mail for me from Stacy....it was a heart shaped wooden peacock magnet!! What a wonderful surprise from a wonderful friend!

Wedding Sampler - new project start...

I'm stitching this for my stitchin' friend Kim Pender. She married Justin Parta last Friday, 5-14-10. I won't see her until sometime in June so I have plenty of time to complete it.

That's what I've been told many, many times. Be careful what you wish for....
